Wow, I was just reading over some of my old posts here. Its so fun to reminisce. Its almost like reading an old journal and looking back, except its out there for everyone to read. :) My last post was written 4 years ago! Forever! The funny thing is that it marked the beginning of a great adventure. Our first business opportunity. We are still running KM Media Studios but have learned a lot. It costs a lot to keep a business alive along with a lot of hard work. We have worked with some of the best clients and many we think of as friends and have very fond memories of their wedding days. There have been many moments of stress and anxiety over problems arising, but also so many laughable and wonderfully memorable moments. I could tell you unbelievably memorable wedding day stories. Like when a bride bit her grooms finger while trying to eat the bite of cake he put to her lips (yes, he was bleeding). That was unexpected. Its been a fun ride to run a business with Kirk.
Now we have 3 kids... holy cow, 3 kids ages 4 and under... yes, it is overwhelming A LOT of the time. We love them dearly now though. We are doing so much right now. Kirk is full of artistic video making ideas (outside of filming for our clients), and wants them to turn into viral videos. He's excited and wants to plan for them or film them in any spare time (which isn't much cause he's so busy). He also is the drawing, film making, and photography teacher at Olympus High now, which he is absolutely loving! We are very grateful for that job. It does keep him very busy though.
I am staying home with the kids like I have from the beginning, however I go a little crazy when thats all I do (even though they are a ton of work). I need something not fully related to them so that I feel like I'm still a complete person (sounds weird, I know, but most mom's feel like that at some point). So I am working on a book. Its a book on natural healthcare that includes healthy food guides and recipes along with information on remineralizing teeth & cavities (which we are succeeding in right now) and recipes and guidelines for natural ways to help you body heal all kinds of different ailments. This topic has been a great love of mine since Eeva's birth, and I've been working on the book for about 2 years now. I also started working on something similar to Hypno Birth. I used HypnoBirth for my last birth and it was awesome! Completely pain free and only lasted an hour and a half! I feel in love with the curriculum but thought it would be nice to both teach it and change it a little to fit more of the techniques I used as well as make it centered around christ. I am creating my own book or curriculum (we'll see what it turns into) for what I am calling Hypno-Labor now. With both my main book and the Hypno-Labor curriculum it has been hard to come up with the time needed to finish them because of having the 3 little ones. I'm hoping to have them completed and possibly published sometime this summer, but I guess we'll just see what happens. I also am hoping to actually keep up with blogging this time. This is our family blog but I just started a blog for our business ventures and hobbies called famWithManyHats.blogspot.com.
The kids are doing great! Tye has a lot of tantrums that were concerning me and so I had him tested to see if I needed more info on autism for him. The results were surprising and reassuring. He is 2 but is a lot closer to age 4 in most of his developmental skill sets. They said the tantrums may be because he has the skills of a 4 year old but emotions of a 2 year old and doesn't know how to take in all this stimuli that he understands but can't do a ton about. Maybe also that he sees the bad attention and thinks he can get more attention if he continues his tantrum to 45 minutes instead of the 5 to 10 minute tantrums I was used to with my oldest. He has stopped slurring his words so often though and when he prays has started to thank Heavenly Father for each of our family member individually by name. It is soooooo cute! Daisy learned to crawl about a month ago and just started trying to climb stairs every chance she gets (she needs lots of help on stairs or she falls though). For those who have not seen Daisy, she looks almost identical to Eeva at her age. Its amazing the similarities in appearance, yet the difference in personality. Eeva is dying to continue her education and can't wait for any days when I do at home preschool and also for starting Kindergarten come Fall (she's been talking about going to kindergarten since she was 2 and a half years old). She is getting so advanced in the type of art she does. Its inspiring to look at her work and makes me so proud as a parent. I love them so much. Hope thats a good update for everyone I haven't talked to in a while. Love you all, Kim.
